Be sure the correct points offer is being displayed on the product pages and in the cart. With the extra SYW points included this is a nice offer for these tools.

Sears has BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Chainsaw and Blower w/ Battery & Charger for $79.99 w/ Store pickup, normally priced at $219.99. Shop your rewards had $20 off $80 FREECASH offer on my account.

I was able to find this socket in store, which brought the total to a little under $83, which allowed the SYW offer to be applied, bringing the total down to $63 https://www.sears.com/craftsman-1...ockType=G1

Also earn $15 back in SYWR points

Seemed like there was plenty in stock all around me, but YMMV.

I have this chainsaw, I'm constantly surprised by how capable it is. Lots of reviews claim issue with the oiling mechanism, and they're spot-on, my oiler doesn't work, but I just periodically drizzle some on the bar and oil manually that way.

Another socket for $1.79
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-p...940128000P

With tax shipped total $66.88

FYI Battery is the 2.0 Ah Lithium Battery Pack. Will be too small for the blower or the chainsaw, but If you already have the B&D line can use your 4.0 Ah or use a couple 2.0 to get the job done. (2.0 Ah is good for a drill, hedge trimmer, limited sawzalling)

Edit: When I say battery is too small I mean the saw wont have enough cuts, and blower wont have enough time to finish the job. (Runtime) Not that it wont fit or wont turn on. Yes of course you can make the 2.0 work for quick little work. My real world experience using both these tools for years is you won't cuss at it, and will have much more enjoyment using a larger capacity battery. If you cut a couple of twigs then put it back on charger then the 2.0 Ah is perfect for you. The blower really sucks down juice quick, for a normal size yard I'd again recommend buying that 4.0 Ah battery.

something like this

Hope that helps clarify

Just FYI, "FREECASH" is different and targeted for each account, so not everyone will get $20 off $80

Thanks, edited OP to reflect. I haven't used my SYW account in years and it was on mine, but even without the freecash it's a great deal considering just the chainsaw alone is well over $100 everywhere i looked.

No worries, FYI I believe you can use the code: SEARS5OFF50 to knock an extra $5 off if you don't have any FREECASH options.

edit: no FREECASH offers for me Frown
double edit: no FREECASH when I was signed in to only my sears account, but I went to shopyourway.com to sign in, found FREECASH offers and then went back to sears and they now show up.

Are you using the 2.0ah battery it came with? Wondering if I should just order the bigger battery now

This is a good deal if you can find it available, even without the extra $20. I agree that the full MSRP is over-blown, but yeah this is easily worth the current price since you are getting the extended-run battery and charger (not sure if it is the fast charger or the regular small one).

Sadly I think all the remaining Sears in my area have closed as of end of the last year. A long history of good and bad times; they can blame the new retail economy but mostly they were looted and pillaged by financial guys who had no interest in actually keeping the business running in the long term. (IMHO...)

This little chainsaw rocks! Don't let anyone fool you, you can still use this 2.0ah battery. The voltage is the same, it will just have less runtime than a 4.0ah battery.

Huge ymmv because if you're a regular buyer there you probably don't have the "free cash" - I rarely get it. But nice deal otherwise OP.

I've had both of these for about 2 years. Blower = Meh. It's okay for light duty like blowing a few leaves or some grass off a drive. The chainsaw is a little better, but IMO more of a beginner chainsaw. It's made for safety and light duty. I've used it to cut some small branches. My biggest issue with it though is it goes through the bar oil tank exceptionally fast, so you're constantly having to fill it if you have a fair amount of work to do. The other issue I have is it tends to get mucked up under the bar and once you pull the cover, you have to make sure you clean it out thoroughly or you won't be able to adjust the chain. A lot of chainsaws have a bit of play for tightening up on the bar, but this one has next to none. Still though, for the price not bad. Less than I paid for just the chainsaw, and a win if you have other equipment that use these batteries.
