I purchased one on eBay for $1.55. It came electronically within about 5 minutes for me.

I bought it last year for $100 for some projects around the house, shelving, ship lap, tree house, etc. It's worked great, but don't expect Dewalt quality. I was happy with 1/3 the price. Plan to use some scrap cuts to dial in exactly what true 0deg, 45deg straight and bevel cuts are...because if you go by what the saw says you'll be off square. Once you know where the true degrees are, and get a good blade, you're good to go. The laser is pretty stupid as well, trying to get that dialed in true and level is a joke. Just use a square to mark all your cuts.

I used it to build a baby gate a couple of weeks ago. I too had to do a few test cuts but it got the job done for what I needed it for.
