OK, just found this other scale. It's does BMI but it's an equation based on on height and weight as opposed to current resistance.

Decent for this price. Use code PE5YH8RD to get it for $14.44

OP says, "It's does BMI but it's an equation based on on height and weight as opposed to current resistance."
In fact, there is no way to get BMI by "current resistance". It can only be calculated.

You're absolutely right. This so called "current resistance" way of measuring BMI is a gimmick that is spouted by scale manufacturers to get consumers to buy their scales. Just like at one point, the American Heart Association recommended that people walk 10,000 steps per day. The 10,000 steps number originally came from makers of pedometers.

But at least the OP didn't shill post another Amazon item with a lot of fake reviews. And yes, the original post is a shill post.

I find the description to be misleading in one way. It says you just have to step on the scale and it works.

"Step on and get readings, immediate readings the weight value as soon as you step on the Bathroom Scale"

You actually have to tap the scale, wait for it to calibrate, and then step on.
This is how every digital scale I've ever owned has worked. I thought the scale in this listing would be different based on the description, but the seller responded to a question with this answer.

Not exactly a deal breaker, but FYI

*EDITED 6/17*
So I bought the scale, and it actually does work as "step on". You DO NOT have to tap it, wait for it to turn on, and then step on. You can just step on and it works. Wow!
