Amazon currently has Chevron Techron Concenrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner (20oz bottle) for only $6.99 with free super saver shipping (or ships free with Prime).

I've used this stuff periodically... on my one vehicle I believe it makes a small difference... but I'd go by the 4.5* rating of over 1,000 reviews as testimony that it can help (of course, YMMV -- but at least it's at a low price right now)

Same price at Advanced Auto Parts - https://shop.advanceautoparts.com...rm=techron
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I put this in my gas tank when I leave the country and park my car for 4+ months. It appears to prevent the gas from degrading, though I'm not sure how long it takes for gas to degrade.

You have to select NEW under Other Sellers on Amazon for the $6.99 price.
Thanks got one. I just checked again and they restocked. Amazon was not on the list of seller early.

Shouldn't you be using fuel stabilizer for that like what gets used in lawn mower/snow thrower?

I read somewhere that if you use chevron gasoline religiously, then this doesn't make a different since it's already in the fuel.

Can anyone comment on the validity of this?

My 16-year-old car runs amazing with this stuff. Been holding out for a deal - grabbed several bottles. Thanks!

That is correct. This is what Chevron already uses as an add pack for their gas. If you buy top tier gas often, this is really not needed. Otherwise using 1/4 of the bottle every once in a while for a fill up seems to be a good plan.

Thanks! I've been pumping chevron for the past 15 years on all my cars

I thought this was also a fuel stabilizer.
