I was in Home Depot and they are setting up a display for a 15" trimmer and 530 cfm combo for only 249.99. It's a sweet deal compared to their Memorial Day event.

I just bought the Ego lawnmower w/ 5.0Ah battery and charger a week ago. Is this a good deal considering I already have another battery?
If you need both tools or could use the upgrades then it's definitely worth it with the 5.0Ah battery you already have. The prices are pretty sticky most of the year on these at around $180 for each unit with a battery / $120 bare tool. They rarely go below that except around this time of the year.

I just bought the mower w/7.5Ah last month. It's obviously a hefty battery.

Are the 2Ah batteries the same weight as the 7.5Ah? I assume they'd be lighter and easier to handle with things like a blower and trimmer.

I have the 7.5Ah and a 2.5Ah. 2.5 is considerably lighter and easier for hand tools. But it is not impossible to use the 7.5 for everything. The cost on sale with battery was worth picking up an extra.

I'm on my 3rd year with an Ego trimmer and blower. Hopefully get the edger soon. I was just checking for a replacement line cutting blade for the trimmer and on Amazon it's $25. Anyone found a cheaper source? I couldn't find it on Home Depot.

blade? I didn't know they had a metal blade or are you referring to the one on the guard to cut string length. Some say to sharpen it but I think that's asking for trouble. The guard always gets cruddy anyway, needs frequent hosing.

I was only going to ad the stock line supplied is pretty poor. I re-spooled first thing with X Line brand from Stihl. Last longer and cuts better.

Should I get this deal if I already plan to get the 5.0 battery as part of the mower? I could always sell the. 2.5 battery for about $100

Ended up picking this up today. Came out to $200 plus tax. I used 10% off Lowe's coupon that HD matched (from USPS movers packet), and then used $25 off $200 coupon that I purchased on eBay for a couple bucks. Haven't opened the box yet but looking forward to testing them out this weekend.

Yeah I was referring to the one on the guard that cuts the trimmer line. I just reloaded mine today and was cleaning up the guard and although mine is still cutting fine I thought I'd check on a replacement.

The trimmer I can do my yard and at my cabin without having to recharge the 2.5 however the blower I can only get about 10 to 12 minutes on high before it runs out.

I love mine. Hedge trimmer, whip and blower. Best investment for yard tools imo
What Hedge trimmer do you have? I have the weed eater and the blower, but have cut 3 electrical cords by accident in the last 4 years so I'm looking to get away from corded hedge trimmers (side note, in my 20+ years of cutting hedges before then, I've never cut a cord, I blame my 5 year old for making me go full retard).

How long does the 2.5Ah battery run for?
I don't have the trimmer, but I have both the 530 cfm and 580 cfm blowers and a few 2.5Ah batteries. Here's a shortened version of what I posted in a different thread recently:

EGO 580 cfm -- Runtime = 17:05 on high or 8:04 on turbo with the 2.5Ah battery.
EGO 530 cfm -- Runtime = 20:38 on high with the 2.5Ah battery.

These were "constant on" tests, i.e. no pulsing. Yes, I sat there holding the blower to keep the turbo button depressed. In between tests, I let the battery cool and then charged it fully and rested it for an hour.

I think the battery could have gone longer than 8:04 on turbo, but it cut out due to overheating. After cooling off, the light on the battery was still green. I don't think anyone really mashes turbo constantly; it's more of an "as needed" thing, right? So my test wasn't really a real-world test, but I wanted to do it since nobody had reported that sort of thing in the reviews I could get my hands on.

To me, the 3 min. runtime cost associated with the more powerful blower isn't a big deal, and that's what I'll go with, using the 2.5Ah battery, going forward. I like the 580's "constant on" dial and the extra oomph, though the 530 is truly nice and would have met our needs cleaning up a small front yard after mowing and blowing out the gutters.

If you have a 1/4 acre or larger yard you will definitely need 2 batteries to weed wack and blow so consider that as part of the cost. I have two of the 2.5 batteries and I am looking to pickup a 5. I missed out on the back pack blower deal.
I just take a beer and battery charge break 😁

How does the Greenworks Pro GW 60-V String Trimmer/Blower Combo Kit with (1) 2 Ah Battery, Charger combo trimmer and blower for $199 at Lowes compare to this.

Just need the blower - is it worth it to buy this and split/sell? Or just buy the blower separately?
