Have a free pair friend who works for Beats gave me. Never use them - they are that bad.

Every time Beats comes up online you get the people who loudly proclaim that they are pieces of crap. I've had this exact model for 2.5 years, and I think the sound quality on them is fine. They are comfortable and the batteries last for a long time. Plus I like that they are easy to switch from one Apple device to another. I'm not an audiophile, but these sound better than any of the other cheaper headphones I've had.

However, they do have one issue and that's that the leatherette covering over the foam has a tendency come unglued over time. I've had to try and use superglue to reattach it, and right now mine look kind of tatty. I got a pair for my son a while back and they are starting to show the same problems. So to be totally honest I don't think these hold up that well to heavy use over time. Still, for this price I still think it's a pretty decent deal.

I'm a runner and I've been using these to run for quite some time with no problems so far. It stays in place and doesn't even budge. One big complaint is it is uncomfortable after about 1 hour of use. I'd highly recommend over the ear ones over this one.

However, at this price, it's a good deal. I bought mine new through slickdeals for $165 about 1 year ago.

They're awesome at any price though if you think music should sound like you're head is inside a sub and the rest of the sound comes from a speaker 5ft underwater in a tin can.

Just gonna throw this out there. These same headphones and instead of calling them Beats by "Dre", they were named BEAT-les by "Paul" or even "Ringo" and these same people would love them. I could be wrong. But the hate these things garnish is not warranted. Wearing them right now at the gym. And there's at least 5 or 6 other People enjoying their tunes and looking good working out too.

Congrats you found your target audience, who buy them for looks and status symbol.

If you love bass or want to look cool sure you will love them, doesn't mean it's a good product.

However if you care about a product sounding good and don't need to look like a model while wearing them far better products exist.

That being said buy what you like but never claim something is good just becuase a lot people use a product.

Beats never hid the fact they market for bass heads and people who care more about looks then quality and sound.

They hate they get is warranted If you love bass and want to look like a model wearing them then you will love them if not they arent great and better products exist.

For full price? Sure. For this price? Nah, this is a solid deal if you have an iOS device. You can get better sound quality at this price point, but it wont' be that much better and you'd sacrifice far superior battery life and range. The range on my Solo3's is easily 60 feet up a story and through walls. I've never had a regular bluetooth set of cans get that kind of range.

Because they are probably fAke. But i'm gonna reserve judgement until the people that ordered them comment. I've ordered open box Beats before from here. Turned out to be fakes. But it was itechdeals not not Dailysteal.

As someone who worked at BBY and Geek Squad, beats are legitimate cancer. There wasn't a day that someone wasn't returning a pair of broken beats. There are much better headphones out there. I fly alot and I am rocking the Sony WH 1000 XM3 which are worth that price.
