Appears that holding off for a bit paid off. The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for Sony E-Mount had dropped from $450 to $400, and many retailers are offering decent bundles for the same price. Depending where you look, some offer no-taxes (Adorama and Focus):

Examples include:

I have both the 16 and the 30 for my a6000. They are both great lenses.

E-mount

E-mounts work on both full frame and crop sensor Sony's. Just won't be able to get maximum use of your full frame camera with a crop senor lens. The other way around is fine.

E-mount
e-mount also works on full frame.

like ef efs

not everybody is keen to look at "FE mount" for sony full frame
as sometimes its not indicated and simply says E-mount full frame instead of FE mount

so yea people with full frames prob took a peek as it may cater to them

Which would you say you use more? Which do you feel is the better portrait lens?

Edit: a -> "the better"

16 all around. 30 really tight in most application. But the better let s for portraits. I sold the 30, went with 56 Sigma instead. 16 basically lives of my a6500.

Decent price on my #1 lens. The 16mm has lived on my a6300 pretty much nonstop since I bought it

On Slickdeals. It was when Rakuten had that 20% off sale the 30mm sold out very fast that time
