Thanks OP. Great price on good fertilizer. Some available near me for this price. I plan to buy now and save for the fall. I always only fertilize in the fall as recommended by turf specialists. Fertilizing in the spring just means more grass to mow more often.

I used this last summer. Have TONS of clover and crabgrass. I understand that this product may take up to 2 years to work, but after using, it seems like the grass got worse.

For $50/treatment, it may make more sense to hire a pro for a year ($100/treatment - usually 4x . year). Then use this for ongoing maintenance.

This killed most of my grass when I used it. Might be user error but was disappointed. Scott's has a no questions asked refund policy, so I called them and they sent me a check in the mail to refund my purchase.

As an alternative for people that need this and want it cheaper than $52, Costco carries this same sized bag for $38 normal price.

Maybe you had all weeds and no grass laugh out loud

I've used this for years every spring. Works fantastic on my Bermuda grass.

I'll agree with you for the most part. I use this weed and feed every year. I have a few dandelions on my property compared to the hundreds that were there prior to starting on this product. It doesn't do that well for clover or in my case oxalis (a relative of clover). Also creeping Charlie laughs at this product. I have to buy a specialized weed control to treat those. In past years, I did get some crab grass. This year, I haven't seen any yet.

I saw a label on the bag that says do not use for abc or xyz kind of glass.....but I think, most people probably do not know the kind of grass they have in their lawn !!!

Scott has a newer product (Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action) and I did not see similar warning in the bag (unless they made it tiny).

This is not going to do a good job if you have crabgrass. For years I struggled with this. After some research I found Drive XLR8 Herbicide. I applied this in 2016 and haven't had to do it since. You will need a sprayer, and I would recommend the die you can put in to know where you have sprayed.

Well sure it gives you more to mow - it makes the grass healthy and grow!

Recommendations vary a lot based on location and type of grass. That might be the advice for your area, but it's not necessarily the advice for everyone.

Check your location university agricultural extension. They should have good recommendations for your state/growth zone.

Costco is only 12,000 Sqft, not 15,000 sqft.
