Same here. Then I drank it and forgot all about laundry. Mission accomplished.

Our Kroger has 32oz of "All" detergent for $2 if you buy 5. 160oz for $10. 100 loads.

It's in our local weekly advertisement - if you have a Kroger nearby, you might want to check yours.

Sorry to ask this, but I simply don't know the answer so I have been avoiding the "HE" type laundry detergents at the grocery store.

I have a top load plain ol' washer that is probably 25 years old, and I always thought there was some myth about "don't ever use the HE detergents" into the 'regular washer' because I will go back back to the basement half of an hour later, and find it full of suds (lol).

So, help me out... what's the truth, eh?

You'll be fine. This specific Tide Free and Gentle and other HE detergents I used seem to have a defoamer inside. There will be very little suds. This is meant to run with less water as newer machines generally/likely would use less than your older machine. My HE machine has an extra rinse cycle that I use so I use this detergent fairly liberally. I made the switch from All after seeing how much more effective this was on removing odors in particular. Hope this helps.

It's the opposite. Try not to use regular in am HE washer.

Now-a-days most are for all machines anyways. But you can absolutely use HE in a non-HE machine.
