I just did this. I thought about posting it as a separate deal with it was posted as part of a previous deal about the new tracfone plan. I switched from tracfone to Net10 (with same carrier of AT&T). $20 a month for unlimited talk/text and more than enough data for me as I average 2 to 3GB/ month is a pretty slick deal I think. I really wanted to try Google Fi as its on US Cellular here which has better coverage but for what I needed would have been $40 to $50 a month.

This is awesome, the redpocket thread is gsm-only. This is a good way to get cheap verizon for few more bucks

Any idea on expiration? I mean, with in how many days I need to activate?
Any international calls, like redpocket?

If you're going for T-Mobile, Mint Mobile is a better deal. $15/mo for unlimited talk/text and 3gb data. $180/yr. But if you need Verizon this is still a great deal.

RedPocket does not allow you to activate Personal Hotspot from the settings of an iPhone. I tried Mint and Lycamobile both allows. Do you know anything about for Net10?

I'd be hesitant signing up for net10 for a year if you haven't used them before.

I've used mint (tmobile) and straight talk (att/tracfone) and my net10 experience has been horrible thus far.
- I've never had reception issues until switching to net10 although i am using the att sim.
- They dont always allow conditional call forwarding, so you are forced to use the crappy carrier voicemail instead of being able to use google voice to manage voicemail; google's management is far superior.

I bought the last 3 month deal with net10 and am doubtful if I'll continue.

I do believe their 5gb plan is actually 8gb just FYI.

Which network (ATT, Tmo), did you use with Net10?

RedPocket on AT&T doesn't allow that (AT&T issue). It's not a problem with RedPocket's T-Mobile plan.

If Verizon was gsm I would jump on this even if it's more than MintMobile because of Verizon's coverage in the Northeast..
Can anyone speak to the added taxes and fees if any?

As mentioned, I was using the att sim, which I was really surprised regarding the coverage especially since I've used straight talk att and the coverage was far more superior, both companies (net10 and ST) are under tracfone.

FYI Net10 uses verizon in addition to att and tmobile.

Btw, google voicemail was working with my net10 att sim, but once I started complaining about the poor reception they updated my sim and then the voicemail no longer worked. net10 later claimed that they do not support conditional forwarding and that it was an error for it to have worked previously.

If you exceed your data allotment for the month, do you get cut off, charged extra, or just drop to 2G speeds for the rest of the month?

If mms works I'd jump from Cricket. Didn't work on redpocket.
