Recommend that you read and understand all the reviews before you buy.

1) this is not a simple installation and you'll need to have a solid understanding of your network, bluetooth, etc.
2) should work with most openers post=1993
3) does NOT integrate with smartthings, or other 3rd party equipment.
4) for full functionality you'll have to pay a subscription fee on an ongoing basis.

I'll pass.
I bought the meross smart garage from slick deals 38.00 and NO monthly subscription charges.Super easy installation and mobile app is decent.

Can you elaborate on the "customer handler/smartapp"? This sounds interesting.
I use this one:

Break ins, i have allot of bikes in my garage, i would like to keep them
How are break-ins increase with this device installed? Cyberhacking? I think it is better to get it so it will notify you the moment someone opens your garage door.

I ceiling-mounted a $20 Wyze cam in the garage to solve this problem for 1/2 the price.
Very cool, I have an Arlo camera in my garage but it doesn't open/close the door. It'd be great to have a camera with that functionality. What camera are you using?

bought this last month. doesn't work great. If i open the door using the regular remote control, i won't be able to close the door using the app. you have use strictly use the app in order for it to work.
huh?

I can close the door just fine no matter how it's been opened. That seems like something isn't quite right with your sensor as it should know if it's open or closed

I bought and returned one for the most ridiculous reason I've ever heard, LED lighting interfers with it. I spent 2 hours on the phone with support until they dropped that nugget on me. Them: "you don't have any LED lights in your garage do you?" Me: yes it's 2019 all the lights are LED. They advised me to remove the LEDs and try again. I told them to stick it, and returned the POS.
I have 8 led 4foot rods and mine works great. I mount the receiver in the room next to the garage though so i know i have a good signal.

A camera won't close the door remotely for you

Does anyone know if this https://www.liftmaster.com/888lm-...l/p/G888LM is backwards compatible with Chamberlain's MyQ?
Is MyQ = MyQ = MyQ? I want to get at new wall control button so that the motion turns on the light - right now I just have a doorbell.
I was using a Liftmaster but it isn't compatible with the Amazon Key so I switched to this. It works fine.

Is it more likely that someone spends the time to hack this and figure out where you live to break in, or that you forget to close your garage and someone breaks in?

Thinking about getting this but really need for two doors. I found the add-on sensor is on sale $35 also at Best Buy, but a few bucks cheaper for $32 at Home Depot:

Not bad to get an entire setup for under the original price for the main device.

Glass half full: Someone forgets the garage open, does not get a notification about that, and can't remotely close it. kid's bicycle gets stolen.

Half empty: Someone hacks into the app and opens the garage door and steal your kid's bicycle.
Overthinking things here. There are more ways to break into a garage than hack this unit.

Youtube has them and the fastest was 10 seconds to unlock.

If someone wants into your house they will get in unless you have bars on your windows, huricane locks engaged on your garage door and a deadbolt with no access from the outside.

Super easy install? You had to run sensor wires didn't you? This unit is wireless and takes 5 minutes for install. How long did yours take?
