I don't comment much, but checking in to say I got these in 2015 and they have been rock ever since, daily wear for several hours. Easily the most comfortable pair of headphones i own. At work I use them with a V-Moda Boom Mic and a FiiO USB amp. I recently had to replace the foam pads which costed under $10.

I wear a pair of closed back Sennheisers at work, and they're not nearly as comfortable. However, that gets me to maybe the only downside for some people with these: they are open backed. Anyone in the room will pretty much be able to hear what is coming out of your headset. I can listen to full blown conversations on Discord from 10 feet away.

For me, this is not a bad thing, but just so everyone knows.

These are good for gaming. I wouldn't really buy them for music. If you love bass you'll hate them. They're good for hearing games without all the special bass that drowns out enemy foot steps. You won't find cheaper and better open back headphones for gaming that can be paired with the vmoda mic which is hands down the nicest gaming mic on earth. I wish my ad700x could use that mic but I'm stuck with the far less nice, and far more expensive modmic.

I can't say much on the price but the headphones are really nice. I must have a tiny head though and the smallest setting is still just a bit too large so the headphones move around more than I'd like.
But, since they're so light and don't clamp hard on the side of my head I can wear them longer when I have glasses on.
They have a pretty clear sound too. I'm running them through a topping mx3 and really enjoying them so far.
The only thing I have to compare them to right now is my Sampson SR850's and when I go back and forth it's interesting how I can pick up more sounds from the SHP9500's and it seems less "muddy" and jumbled. It's not a major difference, but it's enough that it's more enjoyable with the Philips.

I have several pair of headphone for different occasion but these are great for relaxing and listening by yourself. They are open back and leak sound like crazy so don't use it when the wife is next to me but they are super comfortable and airy. Because they're so comfortable they're not really well suited for any activity at all, the clamping pressure is pretty low so it'll shift if you do any hard work.

Is this a good pair of headphones to listen to loud metal in a library next to a sleeping baby with extra sensitive hearing while in the attic of Anne Frank's house?

No bluetooth, but it has a removable cable so you could attach a bluetooth adapter with a short 3.5 to 3.5 cable to make them bluetooth.

There is a ring mod you can do to improve bass on these if you like. I also did the felt mod to bring down some highs. Overall, it's been Rock solid for several years now.

These are good headphones at $60 (their old normal price) but this isn't an incredible discount

Thanks for the feedback. Im looking for a good wired pair with neither. Increasingly difficult..
