Remember this is prime grade most grocery stores do not sell this grade of meat.

Is this just the regular price? Costco has always had great prices on prime cuts.

The Fresh Market sells tons of USDA Prime meat (if they are in your state) but this is a great price for prime. Thanks!

I believe the regular price on the USDA Prime New York steaks is 14.99 a pound

From Costco
Kirkland Signature USDA Prime Beef Loin New York Steak

$11.99 per lb.

Valid 6/3 - 6/9/19. While supplies last.

Nice. Thanks for clarifying. Usually Costco has that sale sign replace the regular signs so I wasn't sure.

Thanks, OP. I need to swing by there for a bag of cat food, anyway, so maybe I'll pick myself up some steaks!

At my Costco, the price varies from $10-$18/lb with no apparent pattern. *But* look carefully at what you're buying. I often buy the prime at Costco but this time I gave it pass. The butcher was playing the 2-good-steaks-1-lousy-steak in all the packs. For some, the lousy steak wasn't even a strip steak.

I had never seen them do that nonsense with the prime steaks before. Boooo!

I have both a costco and sams club membership and I always noticed that costco's meat was always more expensive. Where i'm at the Prime Rib-Eye would go for 15.99/lb ~ at costco whereas it's 12.98/lb or 9.99/lb if you buy a case (no idea how much a case is but probably a lot)

Costco USDA Prime Meat ROCKS. Avid buyer here and can't say anything bad about it. Occasionally you'll get a real fatty cut hidden, but not often. Quality over quantity.

My local HEB grocery carries a fair amount of prime beef and is close to this price at $12.35 a pound.

"H-E-B Prime 1 Beef New York Strip Steak Boneless USDA Prime"
H-E-B Prime 1 Beef is graded USDA Prime. That means it's the top 2% of all U.S. Beef. The abundant marbling means superior juiciness. H-E-B Prime 1 Beef is also aged for a minimum of 14 days for supurb tenderness.

I much prefer the past deals, $25 off a USDA Prime NY Bag of steak, find one that is around/under $100 and price came out to around $7-8/lb.

But this grade of steak is really nice, I can cook it to a high Medium, mostly Well Done stage and it is still very tender.

You would desecrate a beautiful piece of meat like this by cooking it well-done? Do you use A-1 as well?

If these are pre-cut, remember that Costco blade tenderizes them. If you don't want blade tenderized, buy whole primal.

Why Costco blade tenderizes their Prime cuts is beyond me.
