I had three of these, they are great displays. I believe this is an older model though.. The 2719D's are out, there was a promo on Dell outlet for these newer models for $285 each a while back.

I have a first gen HP Z27N that I love and am looking to replicate. The HP Z27N G2 generally runs $360 at Amazon. Is it worth getting one (or two) of these at $300 instead?

I mean, you would think it'll be a quick google search to find the answer but after reading the answers I'm more confused so I thought just ask the question here for a definite answer would be way easier

I like that it comes with "sand"

PACKAGE CONTENTS
What's in the Box
Monitor, Power Cable, Sand, DisplayPort to Mini-DisplayPort Cable, USB 3.0 Cable, Calibration Report

The sand, um, stand, is actually one of the best features of these with tremendous flexibility.

But seriously, I really like the UltraSharp series and I have some older versions of this line including a similar 27" and a 30". They are incredibly solid and have tons of professional features. It looks like these are new with 3-year warranty. I would advise this over a refurb or outlet monitor. That's the one area Dell has let me down -- always been good for computers but for monitors I'd say not worth the hassle in case there are issues you either have to live with it or quickly check it out and then have to re-box and return a big heavy monitor. Go for new on an UltraSharp!
