70% of people don't take care of their stuff. It's just a fact. But in their mind, it's not their fault, it's the product.

I pulled that stat out of my intuition.

I think this deal is worth buying (and actually bought one). I have a smaller Tupperware insulated lunch box and it's still in great shape after 5 years or so. I think I paid about $20 for it. But it's too small so I just upgraded today. Smilie

Edit: Rubbermaid, not Tupperware!

I bought this over a year ago, it works great. Looks like it's from the 90s but whatever

Yup.. that is exactly what happened to my son's. Falling apart in less than 1 year. Fortunately, i saw an adidas lunch bag at costco a couple weeks ago for 4.97 (clearance) and bought a couple.

I've used mine for about 2.5 years and it's still holding together well. I don't necessarily beat the heck out of it though, so maybe that's why I haven't experienced the falling apart others are mentioning

Couldn't have said it better myself. Reason why I don't loan any of my things out. No one(most I should say)will care for my things the way I do. On topic, I'd love to hear more user responses as I'm also considering purchasing this item.

I 've had the lunch bag for a few years. Still in brand new condition though used frequently. It's compact yet holds quite enough.
ETA : (Looking at the listing, I have the small version)

It's a lunch box and it's advertised as "for kids" (Amazon). I think it is reasonable to expect the product to hold up more than a year without maintainance. How do you "take care of" a lunchbox for kids? They should be made to withstand wear and tear. I get your point, but I don't think it's applicable to this product. There's no reason - no matter what degree of care - that a lunchbox should fall apart within about a year of use as many reviews say. It's on the manufacturer, not the consumer.
