No, I had a specific task requirement not met by Sonos for no reason other than they were too cheap to throw in a $5 bluetooth chip.

edit: The Google Home Max streams through wifi as well and sounds the same if not better than the Sonos Play 5.
I have 6 sonos zones throughout my house comprised of 13 speakers. These speakers sync every note flawlessly and have the same sound throughout the house and outside. It takes 15 seconds to open the app and play my music wherever I like.

If you want one speaker to occasionally listen to then this probably isnt the setup for you.

The Sonance Mag O6 is only sold I this bundle (not individually), and seems to be a slightly lower quality version of the Mariner series (per a slickdealer who called the company and posted in another thread). eBay I have seen them between $180 (single) and $400 (pair). I haven't checked the completed listings though..

New there is only a 1 year warranty on these, vs a 5 year warranty on the Mariners. Who knows if that means anything about the build quality.
I have this set from the $500 bfriday sale and researched the mag06 before pulling the trigger. I confirmed with several Magnolia reps and sd threads these are comparable to the Mariner 64s, but has a slightly better woofer. Although not up to spec as the Mariner 66. All reps said "right between the Mariner 64 and 66; mag06 = Mariner 65"

What does this do over an existing receiver/amp and setup wired to outdoor speakers? It seems like it's just that from Sonos - i.e., an amp/speaker package.

Anything else I'm missing since you need to wire the speakers up?

Sonos follows the Apple/Bose/Beats model of technological achievement of less is more at a higher price. I controlled F'd through 4 pages of people ignoring the mastadon in the room of NO BLUETOOTH in these severely over-priced under-performing pieces of s***.
Why the fark do I need bluetooth???

I opted for the slightly cheaper route and put two Sonos ONE's outside, and it gave me Alexa by the pool.

I took the cheap option last year and bought this (now $160) - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ion-...Id=6200216

$160.

I've used it so much more than just in my backyard. Speaker is loud. Connectivity is easy. People always compliment it.

Just got them from the deal and hooked everything up. Sounds great so far and very easy to use

1 thing to note. The remote thing it comes with has to be hooked up with an iPhone...no Android support yet. So I can't use it!

I am currently in need to add more indoor speakers and was looking to get 4x of the SonosEmbarrassmentne (Gen 1) at $150 each.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sono...Id=6053200

Would it be a better bang for buck to get this Sonance deal instead?

It will be used indoors.

I was just wondering when you put them up? I was thinking of doing the same but figured they wouldn't hold up well in south Florida weather.

The Ones are more cost effective. It's only $600 for the four speakers, this is 600. And you can only drive the one zone (2 speakers) with the connect:amp. You may be able to drive 4 speakers (still one zone), but then you need to add the cost of 2 additional speakers. Plus you'd have to run wire.
By getting the Sonance you would be paying for something (the outdoor/weather protection of the speakers) that you don't need.
The only way it might make sense is if you are placing the speakers somewhere where you can easily run speaker cable from the amps but where finding an outlet to plug in the Ones would be difficult.

Is this really a deal? You unfortunately need to wire your house for this. Unless you have an existing outdoor setup
You can get a wireless adapter and hook them up outside. True with anything. What's the problem? Are you trying to compare apples to oranges?

You can hook up 4 speakers to one amp if they are 8ohm....but they would obviously all be playing at the same time.

I want multiple zones too but dont want to run 2 of these right now
What about using a speaker selector? And volume adjusting controls by the lights, or with the speaker selector? We did this with a Monster speaker selector when I worked for Vann's. Put them in million dollar houses that didn't want to spend big bucks on the audio or for people with Ozzy's technological difficulties and wanted something basic.

Our standard in-wall speakers were Sonance, Bose for outdoor.

Edit: Not available on Amazon, here's a similar item.
