Wonder of we can return at Kohls once they begin accepting Amazon returns - if there is an issue with the tv of course.

The 10% bonus rebate is not an instant discount. The rebate credit will be applied to your card rewards balance after purchase (on your next statement, just like your usual 5% rebate).

Yeah, I get that. Just not seeing it show up anywhere on amazon's website.

I recently bought the Samsung un65nu7300 curved from WalMart for $499. I was super excited to snag it at that price. Long story short though, I am about to take it back. The main issue is the glare/reflection of light is unbearable.....The problem is at that price I can barely get a decent 55" let alone a 65". $499 for a 65" with my budget was GREAT. But now I am in a pickle.

Would this TV be a decent replacement if I were to return the Samsung?
Per rtings they have similar reflection.

Is this the same plasma that was on sale a long time ago on here? The one that they cancel but they decided to just ship it out anyways because everyone was mad.
That's the one I have, still going strong, but itching for something larger. Trying to decide between this, a vizio pq, or oled. I assume these will all be massive upgrades over that $300 2010 plasma, but can someone confirm? Not sure it's worth spending the extra money for a qled or oled if this tcl is almost as good. Or I might just hold on to the plasma a little longer and see what black friday brings.

I'm pretty sure the "curve" is what makes the other one a deal breaker. It takes the light\refection and elongates it across the entire tv.

Makes sense to me.. I never gave any thought to curved TVs

Yeah, I didn't either... But the price was awesome as long as there weren't any added issues with the curve. Ugh. Ha

I like to sit in this middle-ground of tech and upgrade more regularly. I'll sell an old set in three years and upgrade. Truth is, we're approaching diminishing returns in sets. 8K is absolutely pointless, but they'll mark up those sets, and in a few years OLED or equivalent HDR on 4K will be at this price range.

So I just ordered the Samsung QN65Q6FN last week from Walmart at the $899 deal

https://slickdeals.net/f/13126777-samsung-65-class-4k-2160p-ultra-hd-smart-qled-hdr-tv-qn65q6fn-899-w-free-shipping?v=1&src=SiteSearch

It's not been delivered yet, but wondering if this 65" TCL is a better deal at $700. I actually have a 10% amazon "movers" coupon since we just moved, but not sure if that'll apply (don't have amazon credit card)

For a $200+ savings tempted to get this and return the Samsung, but never owned a TCL or Samsung before, However that Samsung seemed like a good deal at the time

Just wonder how do shipping and delivery people handle the tv on and off trucks. Do they toss the tv boxes like shoe boxes by tossing the boxes from the truck to ground?

The whole panel lottery thing has me pausing. If their quality control is as bad as the reviews would have you assume, then even if you did get a good panel, what's to say something else doesn't go wrong. Yes, I'm aware Amazon will take returns but that's a huge hassle when talking a 65" tv.

To be honest, all manufacture have panel problems... one is not safe from it. Especially nowadays that everything is made cheap and quickly, not like the good old days where things last forever. My father purchased almost top of the line Samsung TV and had to return it multiple times because of panel defects.

I'm 2 for 2 with 65r617s and having perfect panels. Have one in my living room and one in our master bedroom and the picture quality is worth it to me.
