Best Buy has for AT&T Postpaid Customers: 64GB Samsung Galaxy S9 AT&T Smartphone on sale for $9.99/mo. via 30-month AT&T Next device payment plan (~$299.99 total + $30 one-time activation fee). Activation for new or existing AT&T customers on an upgrade or new/added line required (plans start at $60/mo.). Shipping is free or select free store pickup. Thanks TeddyHeisman

Details:
  • AT&T Next is not a wireless service contract to remain on AT&T for 30 months (your actual wireless plan costs are separate).
  • 'AT&T Next' is what the device payment plan is named and breaks down the full ~$299.99 cost of the phone into $9.99/month for 30 months if you choose to continue paying for it that way.
  • However, the device may be paid off to keep/own at any time after activation once added to your account if the customer chooses, which close out the AT&T Next payment plan completely.
  • On the installment agreement shown while checking out, you will see a '$300 down payment' listed. This is not owed at any time ever by the customer and merely refers to the instant discount by Best Best being applied to the device's retail cost: $599.99 retail price - $300 discount (listed as a 'down payment') = $299.99 (what the customer owes in total for the phone).
  • Once you've paid the full $299.99 (+ $30 one-time activation fee) for the device - whether right away in your AT&T account dashboard once activated, over the full 30 month installment period, or any other time before 30 months in payments have been made - the device is yours to keep and fully paid off.
Specs:
  • 5.8" 2960x1440 Super AMOLED display
  • Snapdragon 845 Processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB Internal Storage
  • microSD card slot (up to 512GB)
  • Cameras: 12 MP rear / 8MP front
  • IP68 dust/water proof
  • 802.11ac WiFi / NFC / Bluetooth 5.0 LE / FM Radio
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • USB 3.1 Type C port (Quick Charge 2.0)
  • Qi Wireless Fast Charging Support
  • Fingerprint reader (rear) w/ Samsung Pay
  • Iris scanner
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Android 8.0 Oreo (upgradable to 9.0 Pie One UI)
  • Release Date: March 16, 2018

Great deal on a barely 1 year old phone at Best Buy. Picked mine up Thursday for $13.33/mo and got a $100 gift card after price matching to the new low price. You will have to pay sales tax on the full amount of the phone ($599).

Unlocked $399: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...Id=6191423

ATT Next $9.99/mo: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...Id=6198947
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Its around 60$ in CA
I bought it in CA and was only charged $45 tax. So at least my BB isn't charging tax on $600.

Am I missing something or is the S9+ (PLUS!) also available at $300 off. Any reason not get that? Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.
Bump.

Yes, S9+ is $400 with this deal. You have internet, you can see for yourself on Bestbuy.com?

I'm a little confused, as a current at&t customer can I get this device with an existing line for $10/month over 30 months without making any changes to my plan or is it only for new/added/upgraded lines?

I just ordered the S9 on at&t next (30 installments of 9.99 each). You can upgrade an existing line. Don't need to add a new line on at&t
But do you get slapped with a $15 a month fee increase like they often do with upgrades on post-paid accounts?

Next just adds the device to your current line

Just to clarify, this does not extend your contract with AT&T correct?

Went into BB and did this deal a couple days ago! Checked our AT&T account and it is all jacked UP!

Our bill went from $93/month for 2 lines to $145/month for exact same service on our 2 lines!

So if you subtract the $10/month payment for my new phone, they jacked it from $93 to $135!

WATCH YOUR BILL CLOSELY!! Had to spend 45 pissed off minutes on Chat with AT&T to get it back to our old service price..

NICE way to do business, NO mention of it, just jacked up the bill and see if we notice...
Same for me. Got to call to get this adjusted

They seem to have got rid of their $9.99/month pricing. I was actually switching plans to compare the two and when I clicked back to the original plan it changed from $9.99 to $13.33, which is the same price as the unlocked phone.

Bought the phone last week on my AT&T post paid account, and paid it off right away. Today I tried to submit an unlock request and got denied saying that the phone has to be active for 60 days. Anyone know how to get this phone unlocked prior to 60 days? Travelling next week, and seem unreasonable for ATT to keep it locked after it being paid off.

Just check my bill. Is anyone else getting hit with the $10 @ 30 months even after paying the full amount?
EDIT..
Never mind. I just check my receipts and I only paid the activation fee.

Not the case for me. But they did increase the plan cost by $10 for me because of "increase in speed." After calling they game me the option to return to my previous plan at the previous cost.
