This was my introduction to Neil Gaiman many years ago and remains an all-time favorite. If you're a fan of fiction, I highly recommend giving it a read.

If you haven't read this book, think a darkly witty gothic Alice in Wonderland. One of Gaiman's best works. Get the audiobook too, if you like them. Full cast production featuring James MacEvoy. Really a must-read.

That's a good way to describe it. Good read if you like the genre IMO.

Check at your local library specifically the Hoopla app. The audio book may be available for you for free.

It was made into a TV series, think back in the 90s.

Agreed or more for me it was my first known intro to him as I'd seen the movie Stardust and didn't know it was a book by him.

It was made into a miniseries. For the 90s it was pretty good. Most of it is still good but some parts haven't aged well.

Totally agree. I personally prefer the authors recording of the audiobook over the full cast ones. Neil does such a great job with the voices

Gaiman does a great job with audiobooks. I really enjoyed his reading of Odd & the Frost Giants. I just think the cast is so good on Neverwhere, and also on The Graveyard Book.
