Set off deal alert for 4K/Blu-ray. TD.
Sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. Only set out to provide info about this release and didn't realize it until I set off my own Deal Alert for the same thing once I posted ("4K Blu-ray") Cheers

The title of this movie instantly reminded me of Opeth's song Ghost of Perdition. Which is a mandatory listen. It's like a spiritual awakening.

That's a song, much less a spiritual awakening? What's interesting to me is the four or five genres of metal all within a single song. Gets better after the first minute, but hardly a spiritual awakening. TETO

Back on topic, 'Road to Perdition' is a fantastic film and a great purchase whether you have the Amazon credits or not. I own on VUDU; it isn't Movies Anywhere compatible unfortunately. But what I really wanted to comment about is how tragically mundane Sam Mendes' career has been since this film. Turns out his much older, Oscar-winning cinematographer Conrad Hall might deserve a lot of credit for Mendes success, having won Academy Awards for both 'American Beauty' and this film before succumbing to bladder cancer. Mendes' career since has been devoid of much quality or creativity. I consider his next few films forgettable, and he's gone full mainstream now having directed the last two Bond films. Most consider Skyfall a good effort, but Spectre might be Daniel Craig's last turn in the role in an otherwise forgettable entry to the series. Meanwhile, Mendes has produced quite a few TV series over the past 5 years, namely early involvement in the excellent Showtime series 'Penny Dreadful'. But I hardly give producers credit for the actual art that gets delivered to the screen. Lets hope Mendes gets his groove back in the next several projects. His first two efforts, 'American Beauty' and 'Road to Perdition', were exemplary.

Oscar nominated soundtrack by Thomas Newman. I never believed soundtracks made much of a difference until I watched this film. My favorite is the track when they travel to Chicago to meet up with Frank Nitti.
