Samsung Rewards Deal of the Week: 15% Off $50 Samsung.com Coupon Codes (8,500 vs. 10,000 points)

As a continuation of their 10 year Galaxy Anniversary celebration, Samsung Pay is now showing that you can receive a Samsung.com coupon for 8,500 points instead of the normal 10,000 points. Limited time only.
I don't have a URL to add; just check the promotions within Samsung Pay!
Since Samsung keeps reducing the value of their points, hopefully this helps some of you to actually do something with the points you've already collected.
$50 coupons expire 31 December 2019.

There is nothing in the T&S about it. Samsung's FAQ says the rewards are non-transferable, but they seem to be referring to points in the reading of it. The FAQ did not specify if the coupon code is tied to the earner's account.
If you haven't used a code before, once you redeem your points for the code, Samsung will send you the code to your registered email. It's just a nine digit alphanumeric code you punch in when you make your Samsung purchase. So whether or not that code can be used by another, I didn't see enough info on their website to determine that.

Yes
It's a regular coupon code. Not tied to your account.

IIRC, no more than one coupon code allowed like many other retailers.

Anybody know how to find out when points are going to expire? Last time the promo was 50%, much better than 15%. So I'm considering whether to roll the dice for a better promo. I believe the points expire one year after you earn them but I had some points expire without any sort of notice a few months back.

Yes, they expire after one year. 50% off would be a very slick deal!
This is the only way I know how to see expiring points:
In Samsung Pay, click on the Me icon in the bottom right hand side to access your current points. Adjacent to where it says Samsung Rewards, click on the the word "More". At the top of the next page, if you have points expiring at the end of the current month, it will show you.
