Google still fully supporting the devices? Looks like they've been out for awhile now, and low price now... seems like recipe for "end of lifecycle". Very tempted to purchase, just hate replacing/upgrading every couple years.
Also: is that some sort of speaker for something on top?!?
Old routers still function, even if new firmware doesn't come out. I don't think this one becomes worthless if that happens. People still use n300 routers and whatnot.

Thanks! Anyone who can tell me how the performance is in the mesh?

Anyone who is looking for a faster turnaround, these are on Amazon prime for 75. No shipping / no tax in my case so it may be worth it in case you have to return it. Not sure how smooth (or free) NewEgg's return process is.

I need a router put in the basement, where the fios comes in.

So speaker is no use in that area.

I have a TP-Link USB WiFi adapter card that works phenomenally so, I know they make good products.

Picked one up for a small office that I manage the IT stuff in. Current router is an ASUS ACRH13 so this is kind of a sidegrade/upgrade. The Asus is apparently needing a restart every couple hours, must be overloaded by the 3 Wyzecams and 15+ devices. This OnHub offers significantly more RAM and claims support for 100 devices so I'm willing to give it a shot.

I am looking for a new router. My modem is the aris modem provided by spectrum. If I'm understanding, this can act as both a router and/or range extender(s)? Would I be able to use these as extenders to any router in the future if I decide to or does it only work if I stack them together with one being the router? Also, how does this compare to the other ones like the orbis ones or the deco m4 one that I see? Pretty much all the same thing and just competition? Seems like air mesh is the new tech of routers now..

I'm not that old (in my 30s) but this is very cool that it's a speaker, router and mesh. That sounds so old...

I second this question--I just bought a three-pack of deco m4s, wondering whether to return those and pick these up instead.

It just chimes during setup and not more than that it can't do anything nor we can utilize speaker - i recently purchased this and was trying to search for speaker options in the google Wifi app and could not find anything however I love the router it's worth the money

Unopened and defective RMA's are simple if you click the return button in Newegg order history - the option to print a free shipping label is part of the process.

ShopRunner returns are also free, and this is eligible. Not sure how Amazon is better in any way.

Got this going for my parents last week. Router's range is very good for their 2,000 sq foot home. Spots on the back deck that used to have some issues when playing Switch are nice and smooth now. I don't think they could be any happier with it at the moment.

For 60 bucks I like the idea my mom can use a simple app (she's familiar with phone apps) to change settings on the router if she needs to.

They mostly just needed slightly better coverage than their old router and this router seems to have fit their needs well.
