Temping price, but seeing the high number of people reporting premature drive failures at Amazon makes me uncomfortable.

Had this drive crap out on me in a year. Was able to get a replacement with Lexar and I believe I paid the shipping to them.

very tempting but these drives have almost a 25% one star rating on amazon, seems to be tons of failures with this model. even though they do seem to honor the RMA i dont know if they pay return shipping and frankly its just not worth the risk since it's not THAT cheap, maybe $5-6 cheaper then other similar ones

Does anyone know if these have the cheapo plastic usb ports or metal?
I know some of the Lexars had plastic and those frequently broke.
If this is the metal-port type, it's a good deal.

Drives are very fragile. Feel like they break anytime. I have had one for 4 years and it hasn't broken so far (barely use it)

Unlike recently, Lexar is now all good on warranty replacement.
I just received a refund at PayPal today for a drive I sent back with an issue.
Overall, Lexar drives have performed very well for me.

These drives are terrible. Computer doesn't recognize them half the time. Other times says drive is unreadable randomly.

I like how you put it, "uncomfortable" like a very precise feeling about your buying decision. 👌

I have 30+ USB flash drives, only ones that died on me were the Lexar (same model but 32 & 64 GB size). Two died within a year, getting slower and slower and finally gave up the ghost.
