I have this and a Honeywell smart thermostat and this Nest is far superior. At this price, it's a great deal

Just bought a house with a Honeywell and have been gravely disappointed by it. Nest is, as RojoGrande says, far superior. The Google Mini is a welcome bonus.

In for one. Thanks!

Just purchased the stainles steel thermostat. Thanks! Looking at prior 3rd gen nest thermostat front page slick deals, it looks like this post should hit front page any moment as well.

How is the Rakuten return policy? I only ask as I am not sure I have the C wire needed to install this. I have a really old thermostat that I will be replacing.

Grabbed one in SS. Thanks. Couldn't see any use for the Home Mini. Already have to many of those laying around.

Not sure if anybody can help with this, but I have two zones (heat downstairs and central air upstairs). Any idea if this or any smart thermostat can work on just one zone?

I don't have a c wire and didn't have any issues with mine.

How is Nest compared to the Ecobee line? What if you have no intention of ever using Google assistant or other Nest products?

It looks like you have 2 different equipment. Heater for downstairs and AC for upstairs. You will need one thermostat for each machine, ie 2 Nests or similar.
