At $4.8325 per cartridge, this doesn't seem to be a bad price. I think the lowest I remember was at $3.33/cartridge. I still have a few but I don't use them at all.

I buy the "refills" on eBay that you mix with alcohol. I pay $7 and get 3 refills. It's just oil...and it's only about 2tbsp for $7.
Is there a cheaper route? How do I find "quality" oils? Thanks.

Go to Whole Foods or Sprouts and just wander the essential oil department. The NOW brand is pretty high quality and cheap as well especially when they are running sales on them. They are also concentrated so a few drops are all you need

Will do! I'm in Northeast Alabama...we don't have those stores....but I'll find NOW oils online. Wink

I pay around $2 or less diluted alcohol at Walmart which is usually enough for ~4 refills the oil I use I got from an overseas trip for around $2 probably it will be enough for 100 refills but I can see similar quality oils being sold online for around $10-15

Yep... I have been doing the same thing for the past year or so. I actually bought the official Braun concentrate which came in a 3-pack of those little bottles for like $11 and has enough to make about 10 or 11 refills worth of solution when mixed with alcohol. The alcohol is so cheap... Walmart sells that stuff for like $1.79 per bottle in a 32 oz bottle and it takes about 2 of the 3 little solution concentrate bottles to turn that all into the recommended mixture of cleaning solution. I've used maybe 1/3 of the 32 oz bottle of the solution in the past year and I shave every single day with my razor and clean it about every 3rd day. I usually just top off the refill cartridge when it gets low, but I'll actually empty it out and clean it completely with hot water by doing a ton of flushes through it to get the hair granules out every once in a while. You should pop the foil off of your razor and shake out all the ground up hair before using the cleaning mode since this will keep all that stuff from unnecessarily contaminating the solution more than is necessary. It tends to build up in the honeycomb structure at the bottom of the solution cartridge and can be hard to get out once it solidifies.

That's not the spirit of a true slick-dealer! I have had my Braun 9595 since 2008 and I use it almost every single day. It was actually the first thing I ever bought on Amazon and I hope it keeps working for a lot longer.

At first I thought this was two 12 packs, total of 24, which would be an amazing deal. Looks like it is actually two 6 packs (total of 12) which is an okay price. Not worth stocking up at this price imo.

Am I missing something, this is the same price as Amazon when you buy these with subscribe & save. The last couple orders I had was all around ~4.5$ each before tax too.

That's what I thought too. The subject line is very misleading.
