The way I see it with refurb is that I'm letting some other sucker perform the burn in test for me and Vizio fix known issues during refurb.

I have a refurbished vizio p series that I bought from newegg on ebay, it developed artifacting within the first 3 months and I was able to get a replacement directly from vizio that came with a warranty of 1 year

I also bought a refurb e series for my bedroom directly from Walmart, it had issues remaining connected to Wi-Fi, I was able to get this one serviced directly from vizio and have had no issues since

So in my experience, vizio will stand by the product and either service or replace the product, and that was through different purchasing chains

How much do you guys trust refurbished TVs? Will they become problematic faster?

I purchased a refurbished Vizio a couple of years ago (4 years ago) when it was a good deal for a 60 inch at $500 from WalMart, still going strong with no issues. It is in my living room, so it does get a lot of use, everything works great still on it. Just my 2 cents.

My 1080p tv is refurbished from walmart, it's been almost 8 years and it's still going strong.

Thanks.

Not really in a rush though and $ 260 is pretty much 55" $ 250 2018 tv bf deal territory.

I got a refurb Vizio from Walmart for $450 4-5 years ago, a 55". Zero problems with it, and it's been wonderful.

I did take the advice at the time, and had the tv shipped to the store, as it seems less screens arrived broken that way. I had us all unpack the tv at the store to check for physical damage and they didn't seem to mind at all.

I had such a decent experience that I bought another $450 Vizio (65" this time!!) and it should arrive at the store for pickup on 6/20. I'm very excited.

Hm, I've got it yesterday from vipoutlet via eBay with their 15% off promo for $237 new shipped. I'd rather pick it up, but for $27 extra it is new (plus 13% cash back). OOS now on eBay, but I guess it can popup for the same price again somewhere.
