no, since it does have a RJ45 gigabit Ethernet port on the back. The ones I bought also had wifi and BlueTooth.

The max speed of the included WiFi chipset is 450mbps.

AC can reach 1200mbps.

of course both of those crush most people's internet speeds, and of course when playing games latency to the server is usually more important and you LAN connection does not really effect that.

Not if you want to have it stretch across. Cheaper Hdmi splitters will only duplicate the image.

The easiest way would be to buy a cheap rx550 on eBay for 30 bucks, make sure any video card you buy is a one fan short model that does not require extra power

I believe the SSD slot is used by the Optane. You might be able to remove the Optane and replace it with SSD.

I did a little more checking. Before removing the Optane make sure it's been disabled. Open Intel Rapid Storage Technology Application, then CLICK ON INTEL OPTANE, THEN CLICK DISABLE. As I understand it, this step dumps certain cached data from Optane SSD to your HDD. I believe you then need to reboot. Once disabled, I believe you can then just replace the Optane with NVMe SSD.

I'm hardly an expert, but I've read several articles about how to swap Optane with SSD. I suggest doing some research on your own.

I'm hoping the performance boost from Optane will be sufficient for my Home / Office use.
