Im looking at the 1TB sata version for $87. Can we hope for a $75 1TB? Would be nice. :.)

Why the sata version? Is it for a lower rated slot?

Sata interface drives give you slower speed than nvme, but nvme is not really needed for most. Sata ssd's usually work fine

There are. You would need USB 3 gen 2 to take full advantage of the speed and they are like half the price of the stick.
