No political discussions in the hot deals forum please.

Following US ban on travel to Cuba via cruise ship, Norwegian reduced its short sailings that once included Cuba in the itinerary. Sample is 3-day Bahamas from Miami starting from $199 per person, based on double occupancy. This includes their current "Take All Promotion".

Norwegian Cruise Line [ncl.com]

Depending on category booked, the Take All Promotion includes free unlimited open bar, free wifi, free shore excursion credit and specialty dining.

Mom and a friend went in May and paid $1100 for a balcony to key West and Bahamas. It was a 3 day. Idr what base fair was but NCL really adds those additions up. They didn't get any of the "free" stuff because that was extra money.

Anyone know if they add extra tips/taxes to the "open bar" on the sky on top of the "total" or is the total with those included. Bar tips not the general tips I mean.

The "Free at Sea" ain't free! It quickly adds up from 199 pp to 1975 total for a 3 night cruise for 4 sharing a cabin (and this is the stacked price with free 3rd and 4th guest) (I chose cheapest balcony mini suite) (approx 1175 for 2 ppl in reg cheapest balcony). Those who have been on a cruise before, understand this is just how it works. In this case I'll pass. We went on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise for 4 several months ago on Princess for just under 3k.

Summary of Charges
TOTAL 4 GUESTS$1,138.00
FREE AT SEA OFFER GRATUITIES$128.80
GOV'T TAXES, FEES & PORT EXPENSES$709.12
TOTAL
$1,975.92

Thank for posting though OP! I love finding travel deals.

I feel all the taxes and port charges should be added into the prices advertised, just like they did with the airlines!!

The $199 is going to be an inside cabin in the bowels of the ship. A mini-suite is a significant upgrade.

Very misleading FUD.

Suite & balcony <> 199.
