DellRefurbished also has cheap laptops at around this price range if you don't mind getting a refurb/off lease machine.

There are a few Latitude 7440 available for $160 after 50% off coupon code. Google search '50% off dell refurbished' and you can find a code.

The 7440 has core i7-4600u, 8gb RAM, 128gb ssd, and 1080P screen.

Reviews don't sound good. Weak specs for the price.

Holy cow. I wouldn't have even bother to check that. Good catch. I wonder if that particular machine came from a very secure facility where wifi is not allowed.

There are other machines that have wifi thankfully.

I have a Dell E7000 series laptop for work and will add that is has a spot for a wifi card internally (along with a slider on the side to disable/enable), I'm just surprised they didn't include it here. Pricepoint is pretty great though for an i7 though!

It's not listed in the specs. I'd assume 1366 x 768 (even though HP offered this model with higher screen resolutions [hp.com] as well).

I used one of these (HP 840 G1) for work for about 2 years and it was a good, solid, reliable laptop. It was replaced about a year or so ago with a G2. Used it about 90% of the time from a docking station but worked well when not docked also. Mine had WiFI for certain as, when traveling, I had to use a mobile broadband card to connect to the office. Not sure why these wouldn't have WiFi.

HP brand as well. Know a few people with HP laptops who ended up with faulty motherboards after some time. My ASUS is still going strong after 8 years with the help of a 250gb Samsung SSD and 16gb RAM upgrade. Also important to replace the thermal paste after a few years.

This is a 6 year old machine with no Wifi, plus it was probably left on continuously at the workplace.
Why would anyone get this?
I've seen better and newer laptops on Craigslist for cheaper or sometimes free.

Hey guys, just an FYI, the no wifi comment was for the Dell listed by someone else.

The one in the OP (HP) MIGHT have wifi, but it's not called out anywhere in the specs. Just saying.
