Limit 3 per customer, both items.
Still, am liking this downward price trend.

The 2 x 16gb sticks are $10 less on eBay via Newegg; wondering whether to go for G.SKILL at 3600 MHz instead for a few bucks more...

I'm running the Ballistix listed in the OP at 3533mhz CL 16

See attached. Note, that die termination (Ohm) settings such as RttPak/CLKDrvStr are not being report correctly with the tool I used to grab my timings.

For my Zen 2 build, I'm thinking that DDR4-3600 is worth the investment, per this example recommendation: https://www.anandtech.com/show/14...yc-rome/11

Then again, clock speed isn't everything and the Ripjaw V deal is CL19, amounting to almost the same real speed.

I think you knew when you posted that chart, it would have almost zero value to anybody here besides you showing off...

Huh?

You had an implied question with the post I was responding to. Thus, I provided more input about the applied qualities of one of the product you were considering. I don't care what you buy, I was just trying to provide helpful information. I'm sorry all those fancy numbers went over your head.

I will try again: Fire bad, Ballistix okay.

Did somehow your inside thought 'wondering' make it to a posting and it was not an implied question after all?

I'm starting to think that SR-71's musings yesterday about the value of timings in these threads was good point.

The Ballistix (3200 2x16) are $159 on eBay, which makes this $25 more not less than Newegg direct with coupon, so I don't suggest you buy them from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ballisti...591dbdd5c7 That is, they are not $10 less as amex asserts.

Ah, good catch, I was looking at the slightly slower 2666 version that gets the automatic 15% discount at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ballisti...2983435503

No way I ordered ONE red set because I liked the color one stick was defective in all boards tested. . I didn't realize it for months, who sells bad ram anymore don't they test it. Was cursing my Asrock motherboard for a year.

I only buy crucial ram (best compatibility with everything I throw at) and every other purchase is excellent. Great compatibility even with boards that have noted memory compatibility problems.

Well you got some real bad luck then.

Micron is highly dependable.

My ram tops out at 2400 on my current Ryzen 7 1700 build. Worth the upgrade? I will be purchasing a 3rd gen Ryzen when they come out.

This seems ridiculously cheap.

Trying to game at 120-140fps at 1440p. A lot of games only play at 90 on my current build with a 1070 8gb.

May I ask what program you use to detect faulty ram?
