I have the older non storage version and it is my favorite utility knife. I think the normal price is around $15 so youre getting the blades for free.

This is my fav as well not sure about the built in blade holder version tho, i wondered if that
would get loose after awhile. Either way the flip action is a time saver.

What makes this Milwaukee so much better, than lets say the 3-pack Kobalt for $10, other than blade storage?

Can the spring clip be removed off the back or is it permanent?

It is removable. It is even a philips head to make it easy (rest of the fasteners are torx)

Bought this last week. One note: this and the normal version (without the extra 50 blades) share the same in-store SKU. So if order for in store pickup check your bag before you leave. Caused a lot of confusion when I picked mine up.

Yeah, I'd get this set and just grab a 50-100pk of Stanley/etc blades next time they put them on sale for $5/$10.

Also, the 2pj knife set you linked often goes on sale for $15 (or maybe it was $10, probably$15 though) on Black Friday. Sells out pretty quick though.
