Ton of comparisons on Youtube. (One I watched) [youtube.com] Seems Explorer is wider and easier to get in and out of from the water.

They say Challenger is more slim and enclosed on the ends with more leg room.

Similar build quality.

There's a dude on SD who says he keeps on missing this deal. Hope he sees it this time. I have this Kayak and I love it. Able to fit me and my two kids in it no problem around the lake.

Wish they had a single person that supports at most 350lbs. Also read the oars are OK and should be upgraded. Also they steer differently because of the drag your body creates.

Correction, I have the Explorer. Can't speak to the quality of the Challenger, but I love the Explorer.

I have both I would pay the 10 dollars extra for the challenger and if you read reviews most people would also. Its less weight but nicer design for most kayakers
