I have one I picked up from Walmart for $13. It's actually very good for voice, but not at all for music. I also picked up Sony XB20 on clearance as well, and it's WAY better for music. Like almost night and day difference. With the Sony you can hear the whole range pretty equally as you would expect, and the bass isnt bad for it's size. It's not a high end top model, so voices sound a bit muddy on it. The Anker, the frequency range most voices is in is loud and clear, while instruments/other sounds are extremely muffled, and of course deep bass non existent. I kept it because of the awsome battery life and it does sound very good for listening to pod casts and such, but go straight for the Sony for anything music.

Also, the soundcore select CAN be flashed with updated Soundcore 2 firmware if you have any connection issues. I suspected they are the same internals since the exterior is identical except for the grill design. I gave it a shot to see if it changed the sound quality at all. It flashed just fine. No change on sound quality or anything, so there really isnt any need to do so unless you have any of the issues the new firmware addresses.

Good deal. These speakers do last for the full 24 hours as advertised. That's the main reason I own 2. Don't expect any bass. Audio quality is ok.

Nice price. Thoughts on it lasting being on a shelf in the shower? If not, anyone have a good recommendation for one?

I've had mine in my shower for almost 2 years. Works great but I wouldn't soak it

3 or 6 watts is still too low IMO. Plenty of speakers out there with 10 watts in similar price range.

I have two souncores 2. Bass was too much. Then fw update reduced it a little. Now much better. My first one battery life 4 hrs. Second i havent tested yet i'd say definitely 10-12.
