You have two contradicting replies, looks like Slickdeals is not the place to ask, but let me add a third reply - reducing the humidity will make a room more comfortable in the summer. So if your room is 82 degrees and humid, you might be miserable. But if you dehumidify it while it's still 82 degrees, it'll feel better.

Note this will only dehumidify a space of a certain size, not a whole house.

This is correct. Dehumidifiers blow warm air.

I was looking this up myself. It doesn't appear so from what I could find. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bestbuy/...e_express/

Is this unit better than the Kohl's unit from a couple of days ago or are they about the same?

Ordered 1 from Google, did not see any options for extended warranty.
Also got a message while ordering "product dissapeared " and had to go back to link and start over, may have just been a glitch .

Would running one of these in the house help reduce the need for air conditioning?

Actually quite the opposite. This will ultimately have a mild heating effect to your house as the exhaust air that's had moisture removed will be warm air.

No it really won't. These produce VERY warm air in the dehumidification process.

It will reduce humidity, NOT temperature. I run 5 pretty much 24/7, 3 in the pool house, 2 in basement and one in a bathroom with no vent...

Actually quite the opposite. The reduction of humidity will greatly counter any minimal warmth it might expel. All under the assumption you are using it an an appropriately sized space.

Yes I run it 24/7 and it like having AC
Were you just trying to be sarcastic? Dehumidifiers will never reduce the temp in a room, it works NOTHING like ac.
