Wow that is a really good price for a 43" but how good is Sharp these days? I was going to buy a Sharp Aquous but then they came out with these 4K and I found a deal on a shiney LG for $260 a couple years ago. Now I'm finding Walmart sells the latest LG model 43" for $269.99 or so. I'm wondering if you guys think the LG 43" will drop in price more because I want to buy one for christmas gift for my sister Big Grin I mean at these prices it is a no-brainer to replace her aged ccfl lit 32" display.

Only problem with this one is the refresh rate is 60 Hz. I like watching sports matches at 120Hz. Looks for life like and less movie like....if you catch my drift

I had a sharp 42" tv which I sold to a friend after using it for 3 years and it is still working for more than 5 years. I think sharp is better than lg but not as good as Samsung and this was confirmed by several salespersons at best buy and target.
I can't disagree, though I can add that LG makes some of the best panels just depends on how much money you're willing to spend is the thing. for 200 bucks at 4K I will have to look into this a bit more.

Yup I just don't know of a 120hz model of TV right off hand. I wanted to buy more than 60Hz last time around but didn't really look into it for TV displays because the price was so good anyway.

Below are links to the prior FP deals for the 43" Sharp (78 and 40 TUs). I first bought the 55" Sharp 4K Roku FP deal (71 and 44 TUs) and then jumped on the 43" Sharp. Came back to get another 43" for different bedroom. I have two Panasonic Plasma (VT60 and ZT60) tvs and was surprised how well I liked the Sharp. Love the built in Roku! There is discussion of using this with a monitor in the links. Also the comparison between the TCL and the Sharp in the messages swayed me to choose Sharp.

Bought this from the last deal.

Panel Lottery IS REAL. My first panel was pretty awful.. 5 dead pixels, Heavy Jail-bars, Dirty screen effect, Uniformity bad. Apparently TCL sends these out up to 11 dead pixels. Second one after exchange is much better, but not perfect of course. Performance wise, for $200, no complaints [snip], Panel runs pretty darn hot, burned my hand when I went to move it, mine measured 117 F on the bottom edge where the LEDs are..

But yea, DEFINITELY get an exchange if you don't luck out on the first one.. Going through 3-4 panels is not unheard of for TCL Lottery.
This is a Sharp.. not a TCL. I had bought the Best Buy 55" TCL deal but returned it before opening it and got the Sharp after reading the comments in the posts. The Sharp deal came out at about the same time as the TCL deal so that may be the confusion.

Bahahahahaa.. I've been seeing the 43 come up so often, I thought this was that.. hahaha

My mistake. LMAO

I own 2x of the 49 inch version of this tv They use different panels even in the same size.

So, one measures 4300:1 contrast, the other one 5200:1 contrast. Gamut is lower than the tcl 43
