FYI. Last time I bought from Office Depot online, I ended up with a mystery charge for $35 on my Paypal account. I filed a dispute with Paypal and get a response that I had made an agreement with Office Depot to pay that amount. I contacted customer service (who tried to sell me stuff throughout the process) who said that there was no record of any transactions of the nature and that there was an issue with Paypal not billing some customers for things they had purchased in the past, so that the charge was an "authorization" and wouldnt actually be deducted from my bank account. A few days later the money was deducted from my checking account. I contacted customer service again, and again they started trying to sell me stuff, and then told me that there was no record of any transactions with me and that I should take the issue up with my financial organization. My bank offered to stop payment for a $50 fee, which wasnt worth it. In short, I will never do business with them again... And if you do, I would advise keeping a close eye on your checking account balance.

There are about 400 cases of fraud of SDers by Rakuten (# actually higher)
There is a long ongoing thread on this website.
Outside SD, there are also countless news stories and even website dedicated to "Rakuten Fraud"

This is why I use credit cards, and never Debit. I suppose you may not have the luxury of a cc though. Chargebacks are easy if necessary. Don't give up though. The squeaky hinge gets the oil. Take it up the ladder to a supervisor. I often read horror stories about using debit cards.

Exactly. This thread is popular mainly because of the OP. Try posting the Kroger deal and you will only see coffee snobs whining about the quality. I've tried in the past.

Yeah, I don't have a Kroger any where near me and this price beats any local grocery chain around me, so I will thumbs up every time. In for two, thanks OP.

Better yet, DON'T buy from companies that are known for stealing/selling your payment information. Peace
