I have had this pool every year for the last three years and our kids love it. They are 4 and 7. We usually put the water in late Thursday night, by Friday afternoon the water is warm. Kids play in it Friday, Saturday, Sunday and we dump it Sunday afternoon or evening to avoid mosquitoes. There's a hole in the bottom so you just pop it up like you would in a bathtub and most of it drains.

I would recommend the 8 foot pool cover as well, keeps the pool clean in between uses.

We kept our pool blown up all summer last year, so if you're wanting to save some money on the pump you could use a hair dryer and a cut off water bottle. We bought the pump when it was on sale.

Definitely cheap entertainment if you have little ones. If this saves one trip to the water park, you've made your money back. I know for us, often a trip to the water park is 30 minutes getting ready, 10-15 to drive, and then 30 minutes playing before they're cold and ready to go home.

With this, it's about 45 minutes to pump and fill, but I get three days of water play and no commute.

If you keep the pool inflated it's closer to 25 minutes just to fill it.

We have gotten a full summer's use out of these pools the last two years. It was annoying to try and fold it back up at the end of summer so we donate at the end of summer and buy new in March/April/May when these go on sale.

As an aside, adults would certainly fit too. Two adults is comfortable, one has lots of space.

had a cartwheel extra 10% off pools coupon available in Target app for store pickup. Add red card discount and I got it for $22 after tax. Nice.

Its made by Intex, so it will turn into a tarp pretty quickly

Thanks for posting this! How often do you have to change out the water? Can you use pool chlorine or something to make it last longer? Thanks in advance.

Am I crazy or does this need 971 and change gallons to fill? (literally 88" X 85" X 30" = 224,400 cubic inches, convert to gallons).

Those are outer dimensions and you wouldn't fill to top.

There is some thickness to the base too.

yes...
you're crazy, it's confirmed Wink

from the description
"Water Capacity: 156 gallons (12" of wall height)"

still, that's a lot of water to be filling and dumping daily...

Think this would work as a doggie pool or would it be punctured too quickly?

You should use chlorine, I wouldn't recommend using and dumping daily or you will waste a loooot of water.

Some of the Amazon reviews seem to indicate it would be good for dogs. Probably depends on the dog (and the sharpness of their nails) though.
