The M18 Jobsite Fan normally retails for $80 and can be run using A/C power or battery. I was looking for this fan separately for camping and working on the car, etc, but it may be time to upgrade from my old brushed M18 kit anyways with the bonus freebie fan.

FYI these are Gen 3 Brushless, Non-Fuel, and come with the regular m12/m18 charger (not rapid)

Includes: 2902-20 hammer drill driver, 2850-20 impact driver, 1 M18 compact REDLITHIUM 2.0 Ah battery (48-11-1815), 1 M18 REDLITHIUM 4.0 Ah XC extended capacity battery (48-11-1840), 1 M18 and M12 multi-voltage charger (48-59-1812), 1 belt clip, 1 contractor bag, M18 jobsite fan (0886-20)

M18 fan- up to 284 CFMs and 18 MPH maximum air velocity

Good deal if you've been waiting to buy a drill and impact from Milwaukee. The "normal" price on the fan these days seems to be $69, perpetually on sale, which means the kit is selling for $149, and that's an excellent price considering that it includes the 4.0 XC battery. The regular kit with 2 x 2.0Ah batteries is selling for $199 at HD, on sale from $249, with the same kit and 2 x 1.5Ah batteries at $179 down from $199.

I got a similar deal last year, for $229 with a "free" tool from a list of select tools up to $149. I wanted the compact jobsite light that sells for $149. I really like that light and almost would have been willing to pay the $149 for it because I gotta say the Milwaukee lights are great (except the cheap one they toss into combo kits sometimes). So anyway I decided to buy the set even though I didn't need the tools that much, but it made sense to get the promotional combo for like $80 more.

The drill is great, I think it's the same model, brushless but not the top-of-the-line FUEL. It has plenty of power but not super-heavy. Very happy with it. But mostly that LED light is fantastic! (don't think it's part of this promo).. I had work in a basement of an old house I moved in to, and 3 different contractor guys all really liked it. (cable/internet install, gas piping, furnace installer). I was surprised none of them had decent lights to work in dark basements and crawl spaces.

I bought the 12v fuel combo kit of these a few months ago for 180 something. I only use them for around the house projects. Do I really need to upgrade to this one?. Excuse my tool expertise ignorance. Lol

Thanks,
I've had the non-brushless, non-Fuel tools for years now, and they have worked flawlessly in every situation. I wouldn't worry too much about Fuel unless you are a pro, and even then, it's probably debatable whether or not the extra cost is worth it. A greater concern should be the battery capacity -- don't skimp on the 1.5Ah or similar. I've had the 5Ah batteries from the beginning, and I have never been disappointed in their capacity until I bought the blower (not disappointed as much as, wish I had more capacity). In Milwaukee's defense, the blower uses a tremendous amount of power and should be used with one of their higher capacity batteries -- 9.0 and 12.0 Ah.

I'd also advise at least two batteries, and three is probably ideal. I often use two tools at the same time (drill and impact driver), and it would be annoying to swap out one battery. Having a third would enable you to charge it while using the others. They don't take a tremendous amount of time to recharge, especially if you were to buy the rapid charger.

This isn't the lowest, was $200 last week. In case you missed it this isn't a bad deal. They are shipped in a special combo. If so you can't return the fan or anything separately from this deal.

If it shows as a separate line and price on your receipt. I recently bought the m12 jigsaw and battery for $99, tried returning battery but unsuccessful- had to return both. My items btw were not separate line items, both battery and jigsaw were in in their own packaging so it wasn't prepackaged in case someone wonders.

I may get in on this deal just for the fan alone. That fan is ill. Ill probably throw the tools out.

Other than my drill, I use the fan the most out of all the Milwaukee Tools I own. Especially with this heat down in South Georgia. I tote that fan everywhere with me.
