I love these. I have multiple colors. They are so comfortable and warm. The matching pants are my favorites. At this price I'm gonna pick up more for when my others wear out.

That weird pocket on the chest is the most unsightly thing I've seen on a otherwise nice looking piece of clothing. I gotta assume the price has a lot to do with that. Am I alone? Confused

Very solid price! +rep+thumb

I was thinking when it starts to get chilly, I'll put my iPod or phone in the pocket during my early morning runs. Might be handy.

That makes a lot of sense to me. I have a pet parrot who LOVES pockets and such. I think he would have a ball with it, but I just think it looks odd. I can't help but stare at it. I feel like if someone wore it in front of me they'd think I was staring at their chest. It's just the placement. I'm totally okay with having pockets where my hands are.

Also solid brickseeking! Any suggestion on getting the price? My walmart never seems to have what they list on brick seek even though it shows it and with in stock. They ring it up, same day it's posted, and full price. I live within 15 walmarts, same result everytime. Frown

Definitely odd placement, but it's kinda the same place as a jacket pocket, just on the exterior. If you're working out in it, good to hold an ID and some cash.

Best you can do is use Brickseek as a guide. You tend to figure out which locations it's accurate for and for which it's a little off. I find a Walmart employee with a scanner and give them the UPC. They can check current stock and also the last time that item has had activity (shipment in, as well as selling activity.) If they say they haven't sold one in 3 weeks, you know you're wasting your time looking.

Regarding your price discrepancy, that's odd. BS is normally accurate for that. But run it through the Walmart app, make sure store location is correct... that price will be accurate. Either way, you can use an in-store price scanner before you get to the register. Should rarely ever be a discrepancy.

Last time I had no luck and the employee was using their cell phone to scan items. When I attempted the same app it told me I was unable to price check items at this time. My wife had the same issue on a different platform (android/iphone) but the employee did not. I did some research and it seems they use GPS technology to limit pricing and price checking. If you're in their store the price will only be their store price, even if it's cheaper online. It seems this location just straight up blocked the app from being used.

I am headed to a walmart out in the sticks that says it says 9 fishing rods in stock for $9 with a reel. I will hope it's accurate. Smilie Either way I am picking up fireworks in the area, so it's not a total waste.

Yes, the price shown in the app will be the current store you're in. That's for convenience though... they're assuming you're doing price checks. You can always put in another zip to check another store. When you're in store, online price doesn't matter anyway, since I don't believe they PM it in any case. I've never had a single issue with app functionality being blocked in any Walmart location.

Very good to know! I hold high hopes. I'll try and let you know how I make out in the morning. 7 hours till I am done my shift at work and can head over to try my luck. Trying to take the kids fishing and at $9 a set up, it's a damn steal! I assume employees were just hoarding the ones that would scan for $9 or something.

The employee was super nice and helpful, I just wasn't sure if the phone app was trustworthy after I read a few posts stating some of what I said above. Then when the app stopped working as soon as I got to the store, I knew I was in for trouble. It worked the whole car ride till I got there then shut right down and gave me errors the whole time. Disabled GPS and WIFI thinking maybe they were doing something that way. Everything worked on the website but price checking. Frown

On the topic of Walmart: I had an experience with a different item. Lesson: take pics of everything (price + item number); be polite; and the App is sometimes wrong; if they turn you down, ask what other options (they might give in).

I took a picture of the Walmart website - showing the sale price. I went to the store and asked about the item.

They only had the next lower model, for a cheaper price. So I asked for a price match. Then the arguing began with a manager. She looked on her App and it didnt show the sale item. I showed her my picture of the walmart website price.
First she said that my pic wasnt from the walmart site. She asked what site it was from. She didnt believe me. Then she said I cant just show her a picture of the website (proving the price). And that I had to show her on the App.

I explained that I didnt have wifi, so I couldnt use the App. She refused to listen. So I asked her to look the the walmart website, using her phone. She refused at first, and would only look at her App, which didnt show the item. She was angry at me for the item being on sale.

I asked for the manager above her, who was nicer. I ended up getting a good deal on the next lower model.

Oh man, some managers are just difficult for the sake of being difficult. I always take pictures when I am in the store and see a sale to see if it's worth posting on here later or if I should go back and get it. Glad to see they did the right thing.

Some stores have policies where they won't price match online even their own stores. Walmart used to have that policy I believe.
