I switched over to the Ridgid the past couple of months from Porter Cable and have been very happy. I don't think this is a bad price, but I think you would be better off spending the extra $80 and getting the Ridgid Octane 4 piece set. Being able to choose the 2 extra tools you really need is a no-brainer..

This right here. $80 more and you get what you need, and their highest end stuff, and better and bigger batteries too.

I'm looking at getting into woodworking and am looking to getting an impact driver, hammer drill, circular saw, and jigsaw. I have 3 of the 20$ off $100 coupons at Lowe's and debated on using all 3 coupons to buy the tools in the Kobalt line and the total with tax would come to around $330 with an extra 2 AH battery or around $360 with an extra 4 AH BATTERY. Would this Ridgid Octane be a better deal at around $30-50 more (with tax)? I appears that I comes with much better batteries that I would be getting with the Kobalt.
