I thought the same thing.... that's good, right? I'm looking for a 12 camera setup - this would be a great discount if it scaled up! Smilie

Hi GrumpierOldMan

I'd would look for another deal if you need more than 8 cameras as the NVR is only a 8 channel one.

HI kvebot

Domes are problematic outdoors for various reasons, so I would look for another kit if you're looking to deploy the cameras outdoors.

Well yeah. Hence the comment about scaling up. ✌ Will keep stalking their site for the right bundle...

Hi ChrisB,

This is an IP PoE kit - so it will not work with a pure DVR ( analog ).

If you meant NVR by error - check if it is a Hikvision NVR and check the rtsp resolution supported.

Note - some DVRs also accept IP rtsp feeds, so you'll want to check on that.

If you put it at 4k, it's going to hog your bandwidth.

Hi NoSleep007

unlike a cloud camera setup this is an on premise setup.

As the cameras are connected to the NVR directly and the NVR records everything, there is no reason why any of your internet bandwidth needs to be used as you can keep this off the internet completely.

If you wish to configure it to send out some sort of alert or video clips ( which you typically can ), the amount of bandwidth used is significantly less than cloud cameras which are set to constantly stream.

Got burned on a prior deal from Laview. Charged my card and have not shipped for more than 2 months even though they posted on SD that all the orders have shipped. Check out this thread, and use appropriate caution when ordering. https://slickdeals.net/f/13030675-ubiquiti-networks-uap-ac-lite-unifi-wireless-access-point-62-more-free-s-h?p=128559310#post128559310

Thanks 14u24me

Time to have your CC company to reverse charges imho if you're still waiting..

Did they ( LaView ) ever provide tracking info?

Note ( not saying this happened in this case ) - on another forum their kit from a different vendor got swiped after the delivery person left it. Talk about irony.

They never sent any tracking info, or indication that they had shipped. I was hoping that their LaViewCS rep who was contributing to the referenced thread would chime in after my post, but no joy there. So, CC reverse charge process is my next step.
