Dang, nice find OP. Looks good, and I'm not really seeing a downside for the specs, especially with G-Sync.

Great monitor. Owned it for a year now. Stand sucks but who cares.

It is TN panel which is amazing for gaming (1ms response). It says gsync and amd freesync compatible in the specs. So is it a freesync display that is compatible with gsync?

Damn nice price on a dope monitor. I don't have it but all the specs say it should be a $600 retail so half off is a great buy. I just got a used with 10% off Amazon discount 27" Asus rog 165hz for $300 so a brand new one for same price? Get ittt

It says "G-Sync compatible".
Some of the reviews are mentioning that it has AMD FreeSync; not G-Sync.
There's usually a pretty high premium on monitors that have true G-Sync functionality.
Can anyone verify that the monitor is actually 100% G-Sync compatible?

It is on the G-SYNC compatible list:

Adding to my own comments; THIS [youtube.com] YouTube video is 6 minutes long and goes over what a G-Sync "compatible" monitor is.
Based on that video, which is posted on 1/9/19, there were only 12 G-Sync "compatible" displays, and this one (Acer XG270HU) is not on the list.
They go on to mention that IF you already had the monitor, give G-Sync a shot and you may have a good experience.
However, if you don't own this monitor and have the hopes and dreams to use G-Sync, you're better off looking for a true G-Sync "compatible" display.

NewEgg's monitor return policy about dead pixels is that there has to be 8 (eight) dead pixels before a monitor being eligible for a return.
