Earlier this week, this LG gas range ( LG Easy Clean 5-Burner 6.3-cu ft Self-Cleaning True Convection Slide-in Gas Range (Fingerprint-Resistant Black Stainless) (Common: 30-in; Actual 29.875-in)) was $2399 at Lowes, and $2159 at Home Depot and Best Buy in my area. I happen to be in the market for one. On Wednesday, it went on sale for $1599 at Lowes. I noticed that Home Depot had it for $1598.

Then I found that some Lowes stores have dropped them to $959, new in box. YMMV, check your area.

Just a note about LG "Easy Clean" term.
I had bought this type of LG stove, and had to return it a month later (thankfully Costco was great about this)

Long story short, "Easy Clean" means "You Clean": this stove does not have a feature to incinerate the food drops in the oven, and in my case, no amount of cleaning, following instructions or otherwise, could could remove some burned sugar inside the oven

This particular stove DOES have the self-clean feature looking at pecs, so it will burn the food leftovers.

Lowes typically doesn't keep stock of ranges. They are delivered from a central warehouse. If there was one in your store, it was because it was a returned special order. I doubt anyone can replicate this.

There is also up to $900 in rebates. Link under the price says "PLUS, up to $900 in Rebates". Sounds like a great deal if you are in the market!

I pick it up Sunday. I called the store that had it for $959.60, and processed it on my Lowes card, $1038 with tax, I pick it up Sunday. They told me that it comes in on a truck on Friday, new in the box. I could have also done the same thing at a store in Arkansas, which I discovered first. I called there first. So, I don't know if it can be replicated, but I do know I could have been two for two.

I am hoping great, but I don't really know. The reviews where good:

Best Buy
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/revi...el/5117705

Home Depot
https://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-El.../206824936

Lowes
https://www.lowes.com/pd/LG-Easy-...1000194321

Hopefully, those all link to the corrrect range : LSG4513BD. I clicked the Reviews from their product page and copied the URL.

I called three stores to make sure this was a deal others could get. I called a store in Chula Vista, CA, Fayetteville, GA, and Danners, MA. California could not find the three listed on their inventory, but offered to have the manager call back when he came in. The other two stores have one each, new in box, in stock, not special orders, not returns, available in their stores now. They told me they are new, discontinued models, at discounted prices. So, I've been 4 for 5 in my attempts to locate these in stores.

Look for the slickdeals post from yesterday,I believe, consumer reports published appliance reliability ratings . Just search consumer reports on here it will come up.

Lg was very high rating for reliability. 4th place. But basically second because it was behind speed queen which was only washer/ drier. And ikea which was only dishwasher and microwave

I have had two previous range orders (that were too good to believe) with Lowe's cancelled in the past two years. I would not hold my breath on this one. Not hurt in trying though. Good luck.

I paid over the phone and have a receipt for pick up this week in VA. The manager verified it and was surprised by the price. Many thanks!

You'll likely find anecdotes for/against any brand's appliances, so the best we can do is just try not to get a lemon. If you like CR's data, here's the link to the CR predicted reliability article [consumerreports.org] from yesterday's SD post.

I have had the stainless steel version of this for 2 years now and it has been great!
Got mine for a steal back when Home Depot had what seemed to be a pricing error for all LG appliances.

18.5K BTU on the largest burner, which is very respectable for 30" unit.
