Too bad it's not the electronics on an electronic lock...........I had one go bad after 3 years and called them up for them to tell me I was SOL. But I bought a new one to replace it since they work well. I haven't had the best luck with the zwave add in cards. They seem to eat batteries for me

Do you have small kids, they play with the lock too much.

Maybe someone was slowly trying a brute force attack over that time period.

Most locks at Home Depot/Lowe's are worse than this lock. This is a grade 2 compliant door lever lock. Most locks people buy at grade 3 or not graded at all. Most thieves do not care enough and find it
Much easier to break a window.

I had one of these and for them to replace it when it broke they asked me to take a picture of it and mail it in. I'm thinking I already removed it and put a new lock on bc I can't wait so they didn't help.

Swap them to take a pic, 10 minutes...

seriously, skip this brand. the electronics fail and is not covered by thier lifetime warranty. you put in your code and it flashes red and beeps at you. i have several of these dead kwickset models, converting 100‰ over to schlague.

I had these on a house I just bought. Replaced them all with a better quality brand. The levers felt loose and the locking mechanisms were all sticky when you tried to lock it. Very cheap feeling.
