The P02 in this particular size is actually made in Japan. It's basically a top-tier summer performance tire that would be priced right at $180-$200. Sumitomo is basically giving their tires away to try and make loyal customers. Sumitomo has been around longer than most other rubber companies (over 100 years), has made tires for Dunlop, Michelin etc. and makes most of the rubber components for all of the Japanese car companies.

These are great tires for the price. Last 3 sets of tires on my wifes car have been these but I get them from Tire Kingdom at $85 each and wait for the buy 3 get 1 free sale. I run 225/60r18 in Florida on an 06 Charger and get about 40,000 miles out of a set.

I actually have these (albeit a different size) on my Subaru Outback XT. They really aren't a bad tire. I wanted something cheapish (but not too cheap... shouldn't completely cheap out on tires) and a little sporty while keeping all-season traction. (I have 2 cars)

Like most all-season tires they are not good at anything but they aren't bad either. Decent rain traction and when we do get the occasional light snow and ice here, the traction was fine. Performance traction? Eh, not spectacular. But they do feel better than touring tires when hitting corners at faster than you should speeds.

What does kind of impress me is the tire noise as they've gotten older. It's not bad at all. I've owned Goodyear eagle f1's and continental dws's (both are at least 2-3 times more expensive) On other cars and as they got older the road noise on both of those just got so bad so quickly.

Good deal. If they had them in the correct size for this price I'd buy them again.

Not a bad tire, and the price is really good. They rank 13 out of 28 in their category. I wouldn't run them if you live anywhere that gets snow and ice unless you plan to switch them for winter tires.

Thanks for the tip. The most I expect them to handle is rain in southern california so I didn't take snow performance into account.

Load index 94 seems low for a minivan

They are NOT run-flats. But they are great all season tires with excellent snow traction! One word of caution is the tread life, on my CLA250, the tires are at the wear indicators at about 16k miles. I usually take tires off well before the indicator marks because they are not safe in the rain with so little tread, so realistically the mileage on low profile versions (on sports type cars) is about 12-14k miles. I also have them on my Odyssey and they will probably last 40-50k miles.

The 94 load index would be for the low profile versions, the ones on my CLA250 (45 series) are 94, the ones on my minivan (65 series) has a load index of 108.
