According to the reviews it has 1 upgradable RAM slot and 4GB soldered to the motherboard.

Just picked one up, had an amazon gift card that I received for a gift laying around as well so that made this deal a bit slicker for me. But I read some reviews and this seems like a solid deal. Reviewers on amazon confirmed you can upgrade RAM, pulled the trigger after that.

Hmm not what I am complaining about. More than 16GB on this would be over kill so if they soldered a 1x8GB it would be perfectly fine cause than I could add another 8GB for dual channel mode for a total of 16GB. The company went cheap made it 8GB but with 2 x 4GB sticks which forces you to use single channel for the memory.

I have the i5 16gb 256gb ssd version of this and overall it was a good purchase. I got it without the pen from lenovo for $623 (includes tax and $10 next day shipping) after student discount and coupon. I cant speak for the ryzen one but with my intel, its crazy fast boot time 7-9 sec (inc fingerprint unlock) and no hiccups at all within the two weeks ive been using. My 16 gb ram is one stick with the other slot empty (idk what this one has). I use a lenovo active pen 2 with it and its awesome, except on rare occasions i get random line glitches when drawing (havent found a fix). Ive only tried playing league of legends on it and after 3 hours of playing, temps were fine and no thermal throttling or lag. You cannot charge it via usb c. Ips display with 250 nits good enough for indoor use, but color accuracy its a bit washed out, so not really good for accurate photo editing. Fans are quiet and not disturbingly loud when full blast. Keyboard, touchpad are all very accurate and good quality..

my only complaint is no usb c charging and avg battery life on half brightness is 3-4 hours and ~2 hrs if gaming. It does charge to 80% in about an hour if charging while laptop is off. Charger is a brick tip 65w 6'. Also the rare active pen 2 line glitches can be annoying so if anyone can help me find a fix for that, id appreciate it.

I'm almost positive that is has the Intel 620 on board video card that is much slower than the Vega 8 on board video card.

Anyone use the track pad? I can't stand most of the all in one multi touch touch pads. Especially if it's for someone who's used to physical buttons and accidentally touching it with more than one finger and the mouse freaks out.

The trackpad isn't macbook quality, but it is very good. It is responsive and accurate.
