Has anyone figured out why some people including me keep getting refunded no matter what c cards we use?

Some have been able to get up to $60 when purchasing the $45 membership and stacking the SD and other offers. Step by step Here [reddit.com].

Play game for more coupons www.samsclub.com/play

YOU CAN TURN OFF THE AUTO RENEW OPTION FROM YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNT

So check both your primary and secondary email accounts, you might be lucky to get 2*$25 gift card.
I got 2*$25 gift card on 7/24, and used both 7/25.

Costco has better clothing brands and higher end products that are durables

Sam's has cheaper prices on produce, food, etc.

Sam's has scan and go. Costco does not.

Sam's has longer hours on Saturday and less holiday closures

Costco has easier return process and usually quicker even when line is longer

Sam's has better clearance at manager discretion.

Costco has less clearance because usually they just send back to mfg for full refund. Sometimes mfg agrees to discount to not take it back

I find items at Costco are shorter shelf life in terms of availability. Could be there literally for one week and then not get anymore stock. This is annoying when you want to take home one item before deciding to buy 10 of them.

Costco chicken is better than Sam's chicken.

I have both and shop both regularly, ask me anything

I'm a Sam's Club member and I find it a very disappointing store. It's expensive. A gallon of milk is $2.78, but in all the grocery stores milk is $1.99 or less. A bag of 6 bell peppers is $6 but in Aldi they're $1.50 for a bag of 3. A bag of 6 green bell peppers is $5 but in the grocery stores they're usually around 50 cents each. The same trend is found throughout the store. I've looked through the aisles and most items are 30% to 50% more expensive than the comparable item at Walmart. A few areas I have seen good prices are in the meat and cheese sections. Parmigiano-Reggiano is good value at $11 per lb. 2lb fresh Mozzarella is $8. 5lb shredded Mozzarella is $12 made by Stella, but it recently increased from $10. The meat is priced low but Walmart will sometimes mark their meat down to the same price. There are no doubt some deals to be found on electronics but Sam's is not a replacement for a grocery store, and since it's the same company as Walmart those high prices make no sense.

I just want to throw this out there. I did a similar deal a few months ago.

I got the sign up egift card right away.
The chicken came off correctly when I purchased it.
Nothing else worked.
The employees at the stores know nothing about these deals so a manager or supervisor had to come over and she said these deals always have issues.
They had to manually refund the price of the other remaining items.
I purchased something online and never got the egift card so I did a chat with support and they sent me one right away.
To summarize, I got everything I was supposed to but it wasn't automatic. I had to work with the store supervisor to get most of my free items and online support to get the 2nd egift card.
My suggestion is print out the list of items you are supposed to get and take that with you to the store when you make all the purchases, then you know what items are supposed to be free and have something to show them when they aren't. It's all preloaded onto your account so you don't have a coupon or anything showing this item is free.

So, $45 deal is no brainer if you are going to purchase membership?

Does it matter what Groupon account you use to purchase the code as long as you use a different e-mail to sign up at Sam's?

Absolutely, this is the best deal I have ever seen for a Sam's membership. Wish mine was close to expiring.

Use another member of household and different email address. As a side note, contact Sam's customer service and they can delete old accounts.
