I wouldn't try to grill under a plastic or nylon canopy. Heat rises

Best part about that link is how everyone ripped the OP apart rather than seeing it was actually a really good deal, he just accidentally typed the wrong price lmao.

I only have experience with this one and it held up in some pretty bad storms at our camp site. Just had to anchor it pretty good. No complaints.

How does this compare to the Coleman instant screened canopy? Anyone have experience with both?

Is this a good value ?

I'd just like something simple (small is OK) to provide some shelter from the rain and frickin' insects on my patio to enjoy a cigar or maybe BBQing.

I get that BBQing in a confined space is looking for trouble, but I wouldn't be spending much time inside it (when bbqing) so while it might tend to fill up with smoke wouldn't the screening on all sides pretty much clear the smoke out (could even run a fan maybe ?).

So as far as screened shelter goes, is a bargain or useless junk ?

TIA

It comes with small steel stakes which works on most instances but Amazon also has lots of longer more heavier duty stakes you can buy if you require it.

The screens won't trap the smoke. I use a small butane stove under it when camping. I saw someone in the reviews just had a pic with it setup on their back deck.

How easy or hard is it to setup? Was thinking of buying one of those half dome but this look better.

Note the 10x10 is the bottom size, the top looks quite a bit smaller.

Like one comment said, big enough for 2 adults and an ice chest.

How about 1 adult, 2 dogs, a chair, and a BBQ grill ? Will that fit ? 😊

This is a good product, especially for the price. But Coleman will always be better constructed and last longer than an ozark trail. This is a better value for the price though.
