Great price! They were $649. Remember this 2018 M65-F0 doesn't have wide color gamut, but does have a built in tuner opposite of the 2017 M65-E0. Great TV for a great price, active array backlighting, hdr/DV and a great picture.

Rtings ranks TCL ahead of the Vizio M-Series (See https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...-r617-2018 versus https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...eries-2018) but seems to neglect mentioning the fact that TCL has notoriously unreliable quality control with regard to panels. You can also see this play out if you read the Amazon comments on the TCL deal which may or may not be expired (See https://slickdeals.net/f/13136245-tcl-65r617-65-inch-4k-ultra-hd-roku-led-tv-2018-model-with-15-cashback-on-prime-card-700?page=13#commentsBox).

So the consensus opinion seems to be that the TCL is better than the M Series if you get a good panel but you may have to return it 3 or 4 times to get good panels (or in some cases never get a good panel and give up). I'm personally tempted to pull the trigger on this but am waiting a little bit in hopes that there's a future deal in a similar price range on the 2018 Vizio P-65-F1, the 2018 Vizio PQ-65 or one of the lower end Samsung QLEDs(Q6 or Q7). Since Costco recently put the Vizios on clearance, I'm wondering if other retailers may follow suit.

On another note, now's a good time to get a Sam's club membership: https://slickdeals.net/f/13169350-sam-s-club-memberships-at-groupon-1-year-membership-35-egift-card-...

Yeah I'm sending my TCL 6 series back. I thought it was okay at first but after watching the mountain scenes in Planet Earth 2 it has several very visible lines on the right side. Terrible quality control.
